To Address the Challenges of Wind Energy, METI Presents the METI Roundtable Talk Series Forum

In order to combat global climate change and achieve the target of Net Zero Emission (NZE) by 2060, the utilization of renewable energy sources has become an urgent necessity. Indonesia, as one of the countries with great potential for renewable energy, can harness wind energy as one of the key renewable energies to support the national energy needs.

According to the 2022 Indonesia Energy Outlook published by the National Energy Council (DEN), the wind energy potential in Indonesia is estimated at 154.9 gigawatts (GW); however, its utilization is still far below its full potential. Nevertheless, the development of wind energy in Indonesia still faces several challenges that need to be addressed to maximize its potential.

In response to these challenges, the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society / Masyarakat Energi Terbarukan Indonesia (METI) will hold the METI Roundtable Talk Series event entitled “Powering Indonesia’s Future: Harnessing the Untapped Potential of Wind Energy” as a forum to explore various insights, understandings, and solutions related to the development of renewable energy, particularly wind energy in Indonesia.

This seminar will be held on:

Date: Wednesday, March 6, 2024

Time: 08.00 – Until Finish

Venue: Le Meridien Hotel Jakarta

This discussion will serve as an appropriate forum for stakeholders in the industry, government, regulators, experts and academics, as well as the general public who wish to share experiences, ideas, and thoughts regarding the progress of wind energy in Indonesia.

The seminar will also involve leading experts in the field of renewable energy and the wind energy industry. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to informative presentations, participate in interactive Q&A sessions, and engage in direct discussions with leading experts.
